The Convention Sales & Hotel staff rose just over $750 and was able to buy Christmas gifts for six children. Kewadin’s accounting staff raised money from dress down events and donations for their giving program. The department was able to buy food baskets for 3 local families for Thanksgiving and also adopted 3 families – including 5 children – for Christmas. In addition, the Slot Department employees pitched in and donated pet food to the Chippewa County Animal Shelter.
In Hessel, employees and customers donated new toys from Nov. 20 – Dec. 9. Customers were given $10 in Kewadin Credits as a token of appreciation for the donation. The toys were delivered to the Hessel tribal Christmas party.
